Preparatory Schooling Show

The aim of this show is to provide the atmosphere of a horse show with the support and instruction available in a clinic. If you are new to horse shows, have limited support and training, or need help figuring out how to be successful in the show ring, then this show is for you.

As per popular request last year, we have added a Green Horse Division to the Preparatory Schooling Show. These classes will be held at the conclusion of the show in order to give advanced riders who are working with the beginning horse a chance to have the same supportive environment that our beginning riders will experience. In keeping with safety standards, the Washington County Horse Council does not promote or endorse the showing of green horses by beginning riders. Consequently, riders entering any other class in the show will not be allowed to enter the Green Horse Division. Likewise, any green horse that poses a safety risk in the opinion of the judge will be excused from the ring.

Full turnout of horse and rider is expected.

Registration begins at 8:00. Classes start at 9:00.
Schooling in the ring allowed until 8:45.
All-Day Fee: $20 4-H Riders; $30 All Other Riders
Ribbons to 6th place will be awarded in each class.
